At Eagle One Federal Credit Union, maintaining our members’ trust and confidence is a high priority. Our commitment is to provide you with competitive products and services to meet your financial needs, which necessitates that we share information about you to complete your transactions and to provide you with certain financial opportunities. That's why we want you to understand how we protect your privacy when we collect and use information about you, and the measures we take to safeguard that information. As a Member of Eagle One FCU, you also have a responsibility to safe-guard your financial information. We are committed to protecting your financial information now and in the future. Our policies. procedures and business practices have been designed to protect your information and earn your trust.


Eagle One Federal Credit Union Collects and Retains the Following Types of Member Information:


We collect nonpublic information from a variety of sources such as:
  • Information we receive from you on membership and loan applications and other forms;
  • Information about your transactions with us or others;
  • Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency; and
  • Information obtained when verifying the information you provide on an application or other forms, such as from your current or past employers or from other institutions where you conduct financial transactions.

The information we collect and retain is limited to that which is required to comply with legal and regulatory requirements, establish and manage your accounts and determine your financial needs.


How and Why It Is Shared

Only those persons who need it to perform their job responsibilities are authorized to have access to members' account information. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural security measures that comply with federal regulations to safe-guard members' nonpublic personal information.
We may disclose all the information that we collect, as described above in "Types of Information" section, to third party companies. We only share nonpublic information with companies that contractually agree to maintain the confidentiality and security of your information and they can only use it for the specific purpose we've identified.

Disclosure of nonpublic personal information about you may be shared with the following types of third parties:
  • Financial service providers, such as other credit unions, insurance companies, and mortgage service companies;
  • Non-financial companies, such as our data process, credit bureaus, collection agencies, and businesses that do mailing to you on our behalf;
  • State and federal officials when specifically required by law.

We may be legally required to disclose information about you and your transactions to government agencies or regulators or in response to a subpoena or to prevent fraud.


How To Opt Out or Stop Certain Disclosures About You

If you prefer that we do not disclose nonpublic personal information about you to nonaffiliated third parties, you may opt out of those disclosures (other than those permitted by law). If you wish to direct us not to make disclosures to nonaffiliated third parties, you may select one of the following:

  • Complete the attached form and mail it to:

This is further explained in the attached "Opt Out Notice". You may opt out of these disclosures at any time. This opt out option, by law, will not apply to disclosures that we make to companies that perform services on our behalf or to other financial institutions that have joint marketing agreements with us.

Once we receive your request not to make further disclosures, we will act as quickly as possible to stop disclosures. You may always contact us for assistance if you wish later to revoke your opt out election.

Note to non-member joint account holders, co-borrowers and guarantors:  Any one of you may exercise their right to opt out, even if you are not actually a member of the credit union. Eagle One FCU will treat an opt out request from any one party to an account as if all of you directed us to not make disclosures to non-affiliated third parties to which the opt out right applies.

Disclosure of Information About Former Members

If you terminate your membership with Eagle One FCU, we will not share information we have collected about you, except as permitted or required by law.

Opt-Out Notice

In the course of providing services to our membership, Eagle One FCU collects and shares information about you. The privacy notice that accompanies this form explains that nonpublic personal information about our members is shared with certain organizations on a confidential basis.

Eagle One FCU is required by law to give you the right to "opt out" of information sharing with certain businesses, other than what is permitted by law. This means that you may direct us not to disclose information about you to certain categories of businesses. Unless we hear from you, we may share all the nonpublic personal information about you that we collect with businesses involved in automobile sales and consumer product discounts. Eagle One FCU believes that these types of products and services will be of value and interest to our membership. The specific companies that we share such information with are prohibited from using that information about you for any purpose other that what we agree to by contract.

If you prefer that we do not disclose your personal information to these types of businesses, you may exercise your opt out right at any time by one of the alternatives listed here. We will discontinue further information sharing as quickly as possible. If you have any questions about this notice, if you would like to exercise your opt out right, or if you've elected to opt out previously, but have changed your mind, contact our Member Service Representatives at: ( 267) 298-1480.
