History

Full Service Credit UnionEagle One Federal Credit Union is a full-service credit union, serving its members with first class service. Established in 1935, Eagle One Federal Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial cooperative, democratically owned and run by its members. The credit union is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, elected by the membership. John F. King is the Chief Executive Officer.

Eagle One FCU was originally chartered as Philadelphia District Railway Postal Clerks FCU serving Railway Mail Clerks in Philadelphia. As the structure of the United States Postal Service changed, the Credit Union also evolved. In 1999 Mutual Credit Union merged into Philadelphia District Railway Postal Clerks FCU.  This first merger started a series of changes that would continue for several years. The name was changed to Eagle One Federal Credit Union on April 1, 2003.  Federation Credit Union merged into Eagle One FCU in August of 2003 followed by G.C.B.A. Credit Union in January 2004. The G.C.B.A. merger enabled the Credit Union to apply for the underserved area of Claymont, Delaware. This transformation enabled the Credit Union to serve other groups within the community of Claymont, DE.  Calvary FCU merged into Eagle One FCU in June of 2004, which was followed by the merger of Philadelphia Postal Workers Credit Union in November 2004. Our most recent merger was New Horizons Community Federal Credit Union. This merger took place in March 2005 which allowed us to open up our field of membership to the Fishtown area of Philadelphia.

Since the original charter in 1935 we have developed into the full service Credit Union you see today.  Although we have grown and evolved over the years, the Credit Union remains focused on Delivering Financial Solutions To You!
